Marie Poppins: Travel Nanny Services

Education is my expertise. Caregiving is my passion.

As an educator and caregiver, I have over twenty years of experience in childcare, including work with infants, toddlers, school-age children, teens, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring special education. Since moving to California in 2014, I have worked with many VIP, high-net-worth, and unique families while upholding strict non-disclosure and confidentiality requirements. I have a bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Development and Early Childhood Education from The University of Georgia and have taught in Public, Private, Childcare, and Home School settings. My job titles range from Kindergarten / 1st Grade Teacher, Head of Child Development, Family Assistant, Holiday Travel Nanny, and more.

Traveling encourages us to appreciate other cultures; It stimulates one’s interest in the world. I specialize in traveling internationally and domestically with families to assist with school, home, and day-to-day life. I am a United States citizen with a valid passport, Global Entry, CLEAR, and am TSA Pre-Check approved. Regarding COVID-19, I follow health precautions, CDC safety guidelines, and tests regularly.

My unique skill set means families have hired me for a variety of circumstances; for example, to educate their children while traveling overseas, to go on tour, to help with special needs caregiving, to sleep-train and start routines, to watch their kids while on vacation or during date-nights, to assist with home school learning due to the pandemic and beyond.

I make creative curricula, plan multicultural activities, and differentiate lessons so that learning is developmentally appropriate, engaging, and individualized. I am fluent in English and have outstanding written and verbal communication skills. I am taking intermediate-level Spanish courses to become more well-spoken. I am technologically savvy and can manage calendar events and schedule personal affairs. I am comfortable transporting children; I have a California driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, car insurance, and a clean driving record. I am registered with California Trustline and certified for in-home care.

I am certified by the Red Cross CPR, AED, and First Aid. I am a lifeguard, avid swimmer, and aquatics instructor.

When I am in my hometown, I volunteer as a swim instructor at the local YMCA for children and individuals with disabilities and special needs.

I am constantly trying to better myself by learning more knowledge and skills; I am currently enrolled in online school through Loyola Marymount University. Medical Assisting and Behavioral Therapy are the courses I will complete in 2023-2025.

In my free time, I like visiting National Parks. I enjoy camping, backpacking, skiing, yoga, music, museums, art, reading, culture, and active lifestyles. I am health conscious, cook with organic options, and bake as often as I can. I volunteer within the community, take initiative, am a fast learner, and am hardworking. I am responsible, reliable, organized, and willing to assist with people’s needs.

My expertise has always been in educating the youth and caregiving for others. I am diligent and dedicated to the families that I serve.
